Tea Cup Bunny

I'm running right up against the deadline in the Digi-of-the-Month progressive challenge at Imagine That! and I'm going to post this as soon as I finish typing the details, before I even add all the links to the other challenges I want to enter.

This adorable image is the Tea Cup Bunny from the Rosy Tea Party set and the sentiment is part of the set.

An "Oldster's" View on Naptime

Remember when you started kindergarten, feeling very grown up to be facing the world without Mom, only to discover that you still had to take naps?   We all knew we were too old to have to take naps (despite falling asleep within 5 minutes of lying down!)  How different things look now that I've joined the ranks of the "Oldsters."  Naps are wonderful things and I really hate the days when I miss out on taking one.  :-D

Celebrating naps and catching up on one more progressive challenge at LeAnn's World 101.

Tulip Hedgie

I think this is the third time I've used this image but she's such a cute little hedgie, how could anyone resist her?  She's from Bugaboo Stamps and I have yet to decide if this is going to be a birthday card, or  for Mother's Day, or just a simple "Thinking of You" card.  Clearly it's a versatile image.  :-D

Beautiful Minds & Butterflies

Our newest challenge starts today at Creative Knockouts and I'm participating with the DT for the first time since coming down with COVID-19 and and being hospitalized.  Our theme this week is "Wings & Things" and our wonderful sponsor is Artsystamper.  They supplied the DT with images to use and I chose "Aster Garden" because of that lovely butterfly and the great sentiment.

Maisy Mouse

Another DT card for Conie Fong, featuring Maisy Mouse from the Maisy and Cory Mouse bundle.  You'll see my DT card using Cory Mouse later on.  I adore these little mice - they are some of the cutest mice ever drawn and I hope Conie will be doing more of them in the future.

Remember, there are two month-long challenges at Conie Fong every month; one is for coloring only and the other is for completed projects.  Both require the use of Conie Fong images but they are all so cute, how could anyone resist?  The Maisy and Cory Mouse Bundle is only $2.00 and you get 6 different images!  Use the link up above and go check them out.  There are several other $2 digis as well so look for all of them.

Chevron Thank You

Time for another new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies where our theme is "Anything Goes."  We are sponsored this week by Newton's Nook.  My DT card is made with die cut scraps and is about as CAS as one can get using nothing but die cuts.

Sweet as Sweetpeas

I can hardly believe that I've done 4 daily posts in a row!  I'm beginning to get back to my normal "every day" postings and, in my mind, that means my COVID recovery is moving right along.  :-D

This is my card for the monthly challenge over at Beccy's Place where the theme is "Anything Goes" but there's an optional theme of flowers, plants, & foliage.  I used Beccy's Sweetpeas image, which I think has been retired.  I took the shortcut of using a pre-colored image and it's really gorgeous!  I'm sorry for the glare on the photo but the green background is metallic CS and every photo I took had that shiny glare.  :-(

I used the sketch from The Outlawz

Early Halloween

I know we're still 6 months away from Halloween but I love making Halloween cards for all the kids (all adults), grandkids (all adults but for 1 mid-teen), and great-grands (all below high school age.)  Besides, there's an all Halloween challenge which I missed last month due to my COVID rehab so I want to be sure I play this month.  I think you can pretty much count on at least 1 Halloween post per month from this point on because I want to play along regularly.

My card for this month has an image from Beccy's Place, the cutest Halloween cat ever!

I used Sketch 205 from Sweet Sketch Weds 2, reversed.

Hello Sweet Friend

Something a little different from me today.   First of all, I'm posting 2 days in a row (!!) and that's a big deal since it's the first time I've been able to do that since the COVID hit me.  :-D  Second, I've tried a new coloring style, dot coloring, which I found looking at a challenge site called "Lift."

The image is from Conie Fong and it's called "Hello Little Friend."  This is my first DT card for April but I'll have one (or maybe two) more in the next week or two.

A Spring Bunny

It's time for the second challenge this month at QKR Stampede and I'm still celebrating springtime!   It's been 7 weeks since I was hospitalized with COVID-19 pneumonia (and sick 10 days before the hospital) and I'm slowly improving (excruciatingly slow, I might add.)  Still on oxygen and I take lots of rest breaks (and a couple of naps) each day but I'm doing my own cooking and can even wash my dishes by myself.  I can even shower without assistance!  lol

I'm not up to jaunts outside yet but when I look out my windows, I see signs of spring everywhere!   Daffodils are blooming in the garden and it's past time for the vegetables to have been planted but I may have to just skip that this year.  But my card, featuring "Bunny with Flowers" from our sister company, Eureka Stamps, is perfect for a delightful spring card!

My color combo was inspired by the photo at Time Out.

Rainy Days & Mondays...

I did my best to keep this one CAS because I wanted the image to be the focus.  The girl with the umbrella is this month's image for the Progressive Challenge at Stamper's Delights, and I added the raindrops which are from a set by Jan's Digi Stamps called April Showers.

Ain't No Sunshine...

This image took me quite a while to color but that was because I had to take several rest breaks during the process.  I've had a couple of 'not-so-good' days with low oxygen levels and a bit of dizziness now and then but I did manage to get this card finished.

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and I think she's just adorable!  In my part of the world, we're wishing we had rain instead of the drought conditions we've had most of the winter and the short bit of spring so far.

I was inspired by the sketch from The Outlawz
although you can see I twisted it a bit.

Half Price

Another of the Progressive Challenges I play is found over at The Outlawz and for April we were provided this cute image from Bugaboo Stamps/Catch the Bug.  Obviously, it's an Easter image and just as obviously, it's already nearly a week past Easter but this little gal had the ingenious idea of holding a half price sale for all the left over Easter eggs (some of which have hatched into chicks!)  I'm wishing her luck.  I think she has a better chance of selling the chicks than the eggs.  lol

Although I didn't color the image, I did choose papers which fit

A Gift for You

During the time I was getting sick, then hospitalized, and then in the respiratory recovery facility during my battle with COVID-19, I missed out on a few of the progressive challenges I like to follow.  Now, I'm playing catch up where I can and purchasing an image if needed to get back in.  :-D  Today's card is a make up at Stampers Delights using an image called "Gift."

I'm using this as a birthday card and at the moment, it's going into my stash of feminine birthday cards.

"Flour" Children

This is my second DT card for April and this one is for the new challenge starting today at Jan's Digi Stamps.  I've used one of the pre-colored images from the new "Flour Child" set, released on April 1.  I chose a pre-colored image this time because it saved me half a day of  'color - take a break - color - take a break' etc.  Thank you, Jan, for such gorgeous coloring!

I knew it was going to have to be a relatively CAS design because my activity/energy time is still pretty limited but I did die cut the image and water color a scrap as a background piece.

     Challenges:

I hope we're going to see you playing along with us this month.  Remember, our theme is always Anything Goes and we have pries for both those who use a Jan's Digi Stamps image and those who use something else so you can win either way.  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Little Pen Pal

How many of you had a pen pal when you were a youngster?  I did; a girl about the same age I was who lived in Nebraska (I was in California.)  When it came time for me to try completing a DT card for the new April challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies, sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs, this adorable little "Pen Pal Bear" brought back memories of my own pen pal.

I'm still doing CAS designs because of how long it takes to me make a card (especially if it includes coloring.  Reminder to self - never discount the after-effects of Covid!) but this darling bear is so cute, it can clearly stand alone.  :-D

I was inspired by the sketch at My Favorite Things,

Singing in the Spring Rain

Let's start by saying Happy Easter to all who celebrate it !

My card today has nothing to do with Easter but it is a celebration of spring.  The image is from  House Mouse, of course - nobody who has ever used a House Mouse stamp could miss that.  :-D

Do you like my new hologram CS from Lawn Fawn?  It was part of my latest shopping trip over there.

Foxy Elsa

Here we are in  April and I'm not fooling when I say it's time for the next challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies, where our theme is always "Anything Goes with a Critter."  We are sponsored this month by SheepSki Designs and they generously provided images for the DT to use.  I used a cute little fox called "Elsa."

I've managed to get cards done for 3 of my DTs, which you'll see posted this upcoming week but it still takes me a day or two to get one card made.  Sitting up to do the coloring is the most time consuming and I find that my attention drifts and I tend to call it 'finished' before I add all the shading and highlighting I normally would do.  I think it's because I'm afraid I'll take too long and miss the deadline, and I just want to get on to the actual card making part of it.  So, be patient with me and my coloring will get back to my usual painstaking detail.
