Little Ladies

Today I'm sharing a card I made which features two little ladies, one of which is a lady bug.  The image was drawn by Mariola Budek and I've become a huge fan of her artwork.  I used this one to practice my coloring, which has become increasingly difficult due to some vision problems I'm experiencing.

I simply can't see well enough to color images which are sized for card making.  But I think I'm happy enough with this one to share it.  Photographing my cards isn't the easiest thing either and I can only hope that the photos are sharp and clear, not blurry.  :-D

I used water colors on the image, then cut it with a Spellbinders rectangle die.  The white frame is a scrap left over from another project, also cut with a Spellbinders die.  Both the image piece and the frame were mounted onto 'Linen' embossed, aqua, CS and that was adhered to the entire card front.  The sentiment was printed using a white gel pen.

Live in the Clouds!

It's time for the next challenge at QKR Stampede, where our challenge theme is always "Anything Goes."   For my DT card today, I used a fun and fabulous image called "Castle in the Sky."  All my life I've been a very "feet-firmly-on-the-ground" kind of person and I have to be reminded that occasionally it's OK to live in the clouds!  Here's my salute to that idea.  :-D

This card was actually made before my craft room was sorted in preparation for moving so I still had dies and fancy dp and all my crafting supplies close at hand.  The image was colored using ProMarkers, then cut with a die from Spellbinders.  Both of the papers came from an old (and favorite!) 'Linen Closet' stack by DCWV.  The sentiment is my own and it was printed and cut with an Avery Elle die.

I hope you're going to come and play in our challenge.  Remember, we have two winners each challenge; one for people who use QKR Stampede images (or Eureka Stamps images - our sister company) and a second for people who use non-QKR images.

One Small Bite ...

Edited to add:  I can't believe I didn't schedule the time correctly for this post to go live.  Considering that it's been a good 10 days since I posted anything, maybe I can blame it on poor memory or being out of practice.  :-D  All fixed now.

Here it is the First of June and time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede.  As always, our theme is Anything Goes.  We have 2 winners for each fortnightly challenge; one chosen from those who use a QKR image (or one from our sister company, Eureka Stamps) and a second winner from those who used other images.

I chose this fun and funny image "An Apple a Day" and made a rather simple card with it.  Don't you love the look of temptation on his face?

When I printed the image, I placed it so that it would print on the bottom of a tent fold card, therefore becoming the front of the card.  I colored the image with my ProMarkers, and added the red frame which was a scrap left over from cutting something I used on another project.  That's cut with a die form Spellbinders.

I printed the sentiment and cut it with an Avery Elle die.  Very CAS even though it looks rather fancy because of the die.

Come play with us this challenge!  We love being inspired by you.  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie
