Friends at the Beach

OK, so not many of us are heading to the beaches these days, even with the weather as hot as it is.  In my part of the world, we're suffering through day 11 in a row of temps over 100 degrees F and the beach is where we should be!   Since I can't be there in person, I'm going in spirit and showing off my latest DT card for the August challenge which just started at Jan's Digi Stamps.

These images (ladies and drinks) plus the sentiment are all from Jan's "Beach Friends" set and for the design, I decided to try a different kind of rocker card.  This is a basic tent style card with the die cut, rocker part attached at the bottom.  I cut a full circle, then cut that in half and attached one half to the front and the other to the back of the tent card.

Images & sentiment merged and printed
Colored w/ Tim Holtz distress markers
Cut with Sizzix die
Rocker piece cut w/ QuicKutz die
Paper is a scrap from the basket
Satin bow hand tied

Come play with us and remember, while it's not required that you use a Jan's image to enter our challenge, if you do use one, your entry goes into a separate draw just for Jan's Digi Stamps and your chances of winning are increased by quite a bit!  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

WOW great work on creating a new style of rocker card, love your image and sentiment, hope they don't drink too much in case the rocking makes them feel unwell

Brilliant! I love the sentiment and wonderful image. We won't get to the beach at all this year either due to the COVID, not taking any chances flying!
