Mousers (Meow-sers) on the Hunt

When I saw these two adorable felines over at Kinda Cute, this card idea popped into my head instantly!  So I decided to use them for the monthly progressive challenge on their FB page.  :-D

I colored them with my ProMarkers and cut the image with a die from Dare 2B Artzy.  I cut another circle with a smaller die from that same set and added the two, tiny, mice cut with Gina Marie dies.  The background dp was a left over from a large piece of scrapbook paper which has been in my stash for longer than I can remember and it was definitely time to use it.  I printed and then cut the sentiment with an Avery Elle die.

What looks like a strip of polka dot ribbon is actually washi tape, but I used 1/16" satin ribbon to tie the double bow.

That's all for today.  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Valentine Wreath

I'm so happy with this CAS style card which I'm using to remind you that the January challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps is still going for another 2 weeks, until Sunday, January 31st.

This image is the Flower Wreath from Jan's new "Valentine Wishes" set which has delightful images and sentiments, and it's on sale for the rest of this month, too!  Be sure to check out today's post on the Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge blog to see other images from this set which have been used by some of the DT gals.

Colored w ProMarkers
Cut w QuicKutz die
Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon
Double bow tied using bow maker

     Challenges:

I'm still following the "challenge-yourself" idea being promoted by my blogging buddy, V.  It's called "Just Stash January" and it involves using nothing but things already in your stash throughout the entire month of January!  There are a few reasonable exceptions (all of which mean that no money has come out of your pocket) and you can read about those on her post.  Just click on the link above to find out all about it, then start counting those coins and bills you'll be 'stashing' in your pocket this month instead of crying about even more charges on the credit cards after the holiday season.  :-D  Everything on this card came from the stash!

Come play with us in this fun "Anything Goes" challenge.  We love seeing your creations.  Hapy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Dancing Emily

Conie Fong has released two of the sweetest little girls and I've used the first of them, "Dancing Emily," for my DT card today.  Isn't she adorable?

I used one of my favorite color combos - purple and pink, and used up lots of paper scraps which were on the craft desk, left over from other projects.  It must be October if there were that many pink scraps of paper on the desk.  :-D

Colored w ProMarkers
Cut w die from QuicKutz
Sentiment cut w Poppystamps die
Sheer/Satin ribbon for double bow
Pink pearls

     Challenges:

Remember that Conie Fong has two, month-long challenges every month; one is for coloring only and the other is for finished projects.  You do have to use a Conie Fong image and enter the appropriate challenge by posting your project into the folder on the Facebook page.  Hope to see you there.  :-D

Gnome for the Holidays

Most of you who follow my blog (or who visit regularly) know that I'm crazy about dragons and secondarily, about gnomes.  The one on my card today is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I'm using my favorite 'red and green' color combo for Christmas.  I guess I really am a traditionalist.

Inspired by the sketch at Sketch Saturday,

Flower Cart

Here's my mid-month post for the Jan's Digi Stamps challenge where our theme is always "Anything Goes" and you can use any products by any company.  However, if you do use a Jan's image, your entry goes into a completely separate draw for those entries only and that increases your chances of winning by quite a lot.  :-D

I used a lovely image plus one of the sentiments from the set called "Flower Cart 798J" and I found a perfect dp to use for the background.

Colored with ProMarkers and gel pens

Guest Designing at Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge

This fortnight, I have the honor of acting as a Guest Designer at The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge which is sponsored this time by Jan's Digi Stamps.  Since I'm on the DT at JDS, it seemed only natural to be one of their Guest Designers.  Their theme is an easy one; Button, Lace & Blue Ribbon.  I chose this adorable image, called "Awesome Chick" from Jan's for my card.

I actually used this as a Mother's Day card for a new mom.  :-D

Colored with ProMarkers
Image & sentiment cut with Unbranded dies
Lace w/ ribbon and turquoise stones (stash)
Sheer blue ribbon, double bow
Square button from stash

     Challenges:

I hope we're going to see you playing along in the Monday Greetings challenge at the Outlawz.  If you're not a member yet, it's free to join and very easy.  They have a different challenge for each day of the week plus a couple of monthly challenges and you can join as many of those individually as you choose.  Check them out.  :-D  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Spring Garden

Today it's my day to post a DT project to the Digi Doodle Studios Facebook page where the theme is Always Anything Goes and you must use a DDS image.  In addition, there's a challenge on the Digi Doodles Challenge Blog. The theme on the blog is "Spring/Easter" but since Easter was this past weekend, I'm celebrating Spring with this card.

The image was originally intended to be an autumn stamp and it's called "Sunflower Dreams" but I found it to be a perfect image for spring when I colored it in spring colors.

Note that I much prefer coloring people to coloring animals, even though I use a lot of animal stamps.  Why people?  Because I love coloring hair so much more than coloring fur and there is an endless variety of hair styles compared to 'fur styles.'  lol

Colored with ProMarkers and water colors
Cut with die from Spellbinders
Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon
Double bow; hand-tied using sheer ribbon

     Challenges:
As You Like It
Colour Crazy
C.R.A.F.T.
Crafty Catz
Creative Inspirations
Cute Card Thurs
Paper Funday
Polkadoodles
Time Out
WordArt Weds

I hope we're going to see you playing along in one challenge or the other this month.  There's no requirement for using a Digi Doodle Studios stamp in the blog challenge but there is in the FB challenge.  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Spring Blossoms

My apologies for being a day late posting my DT card for the newest weekly challenge at QKR Stampede.  My cold has turned into bronchitis and I'm spending most of my time in bed, except to get up to go to the bathroom or to take my antibiotics.

For my card today, I used an image from our sister company, Eureka Stamps, called "Frame Full of Flowers."  I thought it was perfect for spring card.

Colored with ProMarkers
Cut with Tonic Studios die
Shimmer ribbon from stash
Double layer bow hand-tied
Yellow CS hand-bleached w/ cotton swab

Crafty Friends
Crafty Gals Corner
