Today I'm sharing another DT card for Conie Fong and my last one for this month. Since today is actually Halloween, it seemed appropriate to share with you this darling image of Wynona Witch. This is Version 1 and there's actually 2 images in the set. In the second one, she's holding a cauldron for her candy basket instead of a pumpkin.

Cat Help at Christmas
On the 5th day of the 2020 Cat Lovers Hop, I'm sharing a card with which every cat lover can identify! The image is from AuroraWings and it looks so much like my Honey when he was a baby. If I remember correctly, his first Christmas he stripped every decoration off the tree from the floor up to about the halfway point. That year, he had no interest in climbing the tree. By the next year, he was knocking the angel off the top of the tree.
After that, we put the tree in the family parlor which had sliding doors we closed to keep the cats out!

Cat, Book, and Candle
OK, one more that could be a Halloween card but it'll be for next year. I know I said I was done for this year, but that doesn't mean I won't make any more Halloween cards - you'll probably see one every month or so. It just means I'll put them in the stash for next year. :-D
I really did this card for the 2020 Cat Lovers Hop, put on by Janis at Her Peaceful Garden. She puts it on for a week every year in late October and there are dozens and dozens of prizes from some very wonderful sponsors. This year you can enter a total of 5 projects over the 6 days of the hop, which ends on Saturday, October 31.
Here's my card for what is now Day 4 of the hop.
Check out the Cat Lovers Hop before it closes! Happy Crafting. NanaConnie

Tall & Skinny Halloween
I haven't done much with the new trend of 'tall and skinny' cards but this particular Halloween image was clearly perfect for such a design. This is another image printed in grayscale and mailed to me by a friend who is keeping me supplied following the crash of the thumb drive which held all 9000 of my digi images. Sigh...
I'm discovering that printing a pre-colored image in grayscale, and then coloring it yourself, makes one look like a real artist because all the shading and highlights are in the grayscale. Whatever you do, the shading shows you exactly where to add other tones of the colors you chose to use. Even if you add only a single layer of color with no shading of your own, they look fabulous because of the grayscale shadows.
Because this wicked witch also has a cat, I get to use this card for Day 3 at the 2020 Cat Lovers Hop.
I keep telling you that I've finished all the Halloween cards but this time, I think I really mean it. I've mailed all the ones which go to out-of-state grandkids & great-grands, the ones for local family are also finished plus the ones done on commission have been picked up so this should be the last.
Still hoping to see you at the Cat Lovers Hop. Happy Crafting. NanaConnie

Day 2 Cat Lovers Hop
Well, we all got through the first day of the 2020 Cat Lovers Blog Hop and now I want to share with you my card for Day 2. No Halloween today, just a sweet little puss from Teresa at TNT Artspirations.

Halloween Cat with a Pumpkin Hat
A Halloween cat with a pumpkin hat seems like an appropriate start for the Cat Lover's Hop this year. This is one of those where I know nothing about the artist but it was fun to color. This one was originally printed in grayscale so the shading and highlights came easy.
Happy Crafting and come play in the Hop! NanaConnie

Don't Mess with Me !
Tomorrow starts the 2020 Cat Lovers Hop and today is the last day to sign up as a player in it. I've played each year since 2016 and I'm already working on cards for this year. It runs from the 26th (tomorrow) through the 31st (Saturday) and, of course, it's all about cats. Felines in any form, if you please.
My card today is a start - to get in the mood. This image is one that was printed and sent to me by a dear friend who wanted to make sure I had plenty of kitty images since I'm still suffering from the loss of all my digi images, carefully collected over a period of a dozen years. A few have been recovered from the crashed thumb drive, but most are still in limbo and I have no way of knowing if I'll ever be able to get to them again.
In any case, my friend sent me 10 printed/stamped cat images and I'm using 3 or 4 of them in addition to 2 or 3 others which I already had. Some of them I'll be able to tell you the artist or creator, others not, but I do know this one is from Angie's Antics (long since closed) and I colored him so that he's wearing his harvest finery in yellow, orange, and gold.

'Tis the Season
I was playing around with some new dies last night and this card was the end result. It went a different direction than what I had in my mind's eye but I'm rather pleased with this result despite that. One more for my Christmas card stash.

Limited Runs has such an adorable snowman for the Progressive Challenge this month and if you're not already playing along, you really should check it out.

Halloween in Camelot
I know, I know, nobody thinks of Halloween when talking about Camelot or King Arthur but this cute image (called King Oliver) from the LeAnn's World Progressive Challenge just made me think about how Halloween would have been celebrated with costumes and jack-o-lanterns among the unicorns! lol

Feeding the Bat
With all the stereotypes about wicked Halloween witches, it turns out there are a few gentle ones who care for their pets just like you and I do. Of course, my pets tend to be cats, not bats, but who am I to judge? :-D
I can't tell you anything about this stamp because it was stamped and sent to me by a friend who has been mailing me stamped or printed images out of concern that I'll lose crafting interest after the total crash of my thumb drive which contained all my digital images. The recovery of those digis, thus far, has been slow and occasional but I do have about 100 (out of some 9,000!) which have been returned to me. I'm hoping for more but we'll have to wait and see.

Favorite Vegetable
I'm sharing another DT card that is for both Pammie's Inky Pinkies and for Jan's Digi Stamps. I happen to be on both teams and this week, Jan's Digi Stamps is sponsoring the challenge at PIP. I've used a fabulous JDS image, called "Harvest Scarecrow,"

Twinkle Emily
Last week I shared with you one of the newer images from Conie Fong, called Dancing Emily (see that post HERE.) Today, I'm sharing her sister, "Twinkle Emily" and she's just as adorable! She's great on a Christmas card but she also comes with a Princess crown instead of the hat so she'd be great for birthday cards, too. Here's my Christmas card for today.

Pondering
Here we are, mid-way through October, and two weeks closer to Halloween. It's also the day we start our new challenge at QKR Stampede, where our theme is always "Anything Goes" and it will run through the end of the month.
Here's my DT card featuring a fun and fabulous QKR image called "Pondering."

Sparkling Christmas
Here's the third of those 4 Christmas cards I made using the Nativity die from Cheapo Dies. This one I did cutting silver glitter paper and using embossed backgrounds in classic red and green. The sentiment die is from Die-Versions and the red CS is also punched on the corners with a Fiskars punch. Once the cutting/embossing was done, it took less than 5 minutes to put it together.
Short post but the card was fast and simple so the post should be also. :-D Happy Crafting. NanaConnie

Not So Wide Awake
I admit that I gave up drinking caffeine ages ago but I want to show you why I chose to take that drastic step. :-D This fun image, which is the freebie for the Outlawz Progressive challenge this month, reminded me of how I used to look after dragging myself out of bed on a morning after too many night time cups of coffee!
Happy Crafting. NanaConnie

Give Thanks
Today I'm sharing a Thanksgiving card which is featuring a lovely (and free!) image from Beccy's Place. Each month, Beccy's gives a free image so that anyone can play along in her monthly challenge. The theme is always "Anything Goes" but she also give a twist if anyone wishes to use it but it's completely optional.

Lock Down- itis !
When I saw the image from LeAnn's World 101 for this month, I knew the facial expression was perfect to show what those of us are feeling, who are still locked down out here in the great state of California. At the moment, most of us are none too happy with our governor and his constantly changing rules about how and when things will be allowed to reopen.
I get it that social distancing, wearing masks, and washing our hands all have great benefits in this time of Covid-19 but to just continually change the ways of measuring "recovery" and adding to the terms (3 times now!) which must be met before any particular area in the state can move from one level of reopening to another is both frustrating and dictatorial!
OK, climbing off my soapbox. :-D Anyway, the image is adorable and I had a lot of fun making this card. The color combo reminds me of high school days when I loved pairing aqua and chartreuse in my clothing. It's still a fav combo of mine for making fall cards.

Dancing Emily
Conie Fong has released two of the sweetest little girls and I've used the first of them, "Dancing Emily," for my DT card today. Isn't she adorable?
I used one of my favorite color combos - purple and pink, and used up lots of paper scraps which were on the craft desk, left over from other projects. It must be October if there were that many pink scraps of paper on the desk. :-D
Remember that Conie Fong has two, month-long challenges every month; one is for coloring only and the other is for finished projects. You do have to use a Conie Fong image and enter the appropriate challenge by posting your project into the folder on the Facebook page. Hope to see you there. :-D

Penguins & the Christmas Moon
We have another new recipe over at our Crafty Chefs FB page and this is the card I've done following it. Carol gave us the recipe this month and, while you can check it out on the site, I'll also give it to you right after I show you my card. The penguins & moon are from SheepSki Designs.
Don't forget that Crafty Chefs is open to anyone who would care to join in and stretch their comfort zone a little bit. Hope to see you over there. :-D Happy Crafting. NanaConnie

White Christmas
I think I've finished my Halloween cards for this year, unless I get a request from someone, and now I can totally concentrate on Thanksgiving and Christmas. My Christmas stash is coming along quite well; I have probably half of what I'll need done and ready.
Each year, I make about 25 for family and friends, then another 50 to75 which I donate to a local Senior Center. I've been doing that for the last 7 years. The first year, I took maybe a dozen or so Christmas cards which were extras I had made and dropped them off at the center, asking only that they be offered to those seniors who were least able to get out to purchase cards for their grandkids/family. The following year, I got a phone call from one of the center's volunteers, asking me if I was going to have extras to donate again that year. The cards were popular enough that the seniors were hoping there would be some available.
I scrambled around, made as many as I could, and promised myself (and the Center) that I'd have cards for the following year. Each year the number of cards I have for them has grown and last year I managed to donate 70 cards. Not a single one went unused. :-D
This card was made with one new die, one old die, two embossing folders, and it's all scrap bits of this and that.
That's it for today. With any luck, I'll be able to post again tomorrow so be sure to stop by. Happy Crafting. NanaConnie

Haunted !
It's the day we start a new monthly challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps and our theme is always "Anything Goes." It's October and time for Halloween! Jan's Digi Stamps has two new releases this month (both on sale so check out the store), one of which is a new Halloween set, but I wanted to use on of the older set called "Haunted!"
The Haunted! set has so many secondary images that it's great for merging to get an entire scene. For this card, I combined the tree, the tombstone, and the ghost, plus one of the sentiments using the merge tool available in MS Word. If you go to the store (see link above which is the name of the set) and compare the thumbnail with the image on my card, you'll see how easy it was; nothing fancy, nothing complicated, just simple merging using the png images.

Winnie Wednesday's Jack-o-Lanterns
Time for the next weekly challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and our theme is Anything Goes. We're sponsored this week by Polkadoodles. The image I used is called "Winnie Wednesday Pumpkin."
This card is filled with scraps from the basket that sits on my craft table and I'm feeling like using them up means I've earned the right to acquire more papers. :-D

Guest Designer for LeAnn's World 101
I was thrilled to be a winner at LeAnn's World 101 a few weeks back and when they invited me to also be Guest Designer, I jumped at the chance. Since I would be 'guest'ing in October, a Halloween card seemed appropriate. This cutie image is called, very simply, "Kate" and I did my best to color her entirely in my favorite color, Purple!

Silver Christmas
If I seem to be bouncing back and forth between Halloween and Christmas, I am! Last weekend, right after I got the new Christmas dies, I cut one Nativity scene out of gold glitter paper and another out of silver glitter paper.
I shared the gold one here a few days ago. As I was working with the silver Nativity, I kept looking at the left over negative from the cut and decided there was no reason to waste it by tossing it away. Having been inspired by the sketch challenge at The Outlawz, I put this together.

Pumpkin Patch Spook
This is my second post today and it's another Halloween card, this time featuring a fun image from QKR Stampede for our latest challenge which starts today and runs through the 14th. We are now doing two challenges per month. I know that may be confusing to those of you who have played at QKR for years every Friday morning. We took a bit of a break over the summer months, doing only one challenge per month, but last month we moved to fortnightly challenges which start on the 1st and 15th of each month.
The image on this card is called "Pumpkin Patch" and it's one of my favorite fall/Halloween images.
Night Before Halloween
I know I gave you a Christmas card yesterday as a break from all the Halloween cards but for the next 2 days at least, you have to go back to Halloween. :-D I have some of the cutest images to share, not the least of which is this fun group of bats hanging out on the Night before Halloween! The image is from SheepSki Designs and it's new to my collection after the loss of all my digital images (no, the issue still hasn't been resolved. :-( )
See you tomorrow with two, new, First of the Month, DT cards, both of which happen to be Halloween cards. Wait 'til you see those cute images! Happy Crafting. NanaConnie
Scaredy Cats
Welcome to the newest challenge starting today at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies where our theme is always "Anything Goes with a Critter." We are sponsored by Beccy's Place and I simply adore all her critter images. Well, I actually love all her images but her animals are so darling and I think I have most of her cat images in my collection. These three are from the set called "Scaredy Cats."
Beccy generously provided images to the DT but some of us (including me) decided to use images we already had in our own collections. Thank you, Beccy. :-D
