Hyacinths

Hyacinths are some of my favorite flowers, both for the garden and as 'forced' blooms in a kitchen window.  My card today has a vintage image of hyacinths, printed in gray scale, and colored by hand.  It came from an old magazine (really old, specifically "The Garden Journal" November, 1920) and I scanned it, saved it as a jpg file, then printed it and adjusted the size to fit what I wanted for my card.

Colored w/ ProMarkers
Image cut w/ Spellbinders die
Shaped card base cut w/ QuicKutz die
Butterfly cut w/ Cottage Cutz die
Signature bow w/ pearl

What a great way to enjoy these vintage hyacinths, Connie! They are lovely! I’ve been reorganizing my dies... a slow process for me lol... and enjoying some cardmaking just for fun these days. This week I’ve regained a bit of energy, so I spend a 5 minute morning segment pruning our rapidly growing shrubbery. Jack has our new green house completed, and he is now building the shelves on the inside. Been reading quite a bit, and resting a lot. Still struggling with resting because it feels like I’m wasting time, but Jack reminds me it’s not wasting time if my body needs it. Hugs, de
