Botanical Orchid

We're mid-way through the August challenge over at Jan's Digi Stamps and I've done this card for the mid-way reminder.  I used Botanical Orchids for this sympathy card.  I almost never make sympathy cards until they are needed and at that point, they are so hard to make.  But this image from that particular set, which is really a secondary image, just seemed to lend itself to a generic sympathy card.

Colored w ProMarkers
Image cut with QuicKutz die, edges inked
Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon
Quadruple loop, hand-tied bow - sheer ribbon
Raindrop gem + 3 mini gems

     Challenges:
A Bit More Time
Artsy Stamper
Colour Crazy
Crafty Sentiments
Creative Craft Cottage
Creative Crafters
Digi Choosday
Dream Valley
Polkadoodles
TTCRD

You have until September 6 to play in our challenge and our theme is always Anything Goes so come join us.  We love being inspired by you.  :-D  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Connie, this is simply stunning! Your coloring is so beautiful, I feel like I could reach out and feel the petals!!! I agree that sympathy cards are much harder to make when you actually need one. That said, my stash is barren of sympathy cards and I really must rectify that, especially as I anticipate needing one sooner rather than later with someone close to me. It is exactly that reason that keeps me from making one now, as I don't want to worry I influenced fate!!! If we make it to the end of this year without needing one, I will certainly make a set of generic sympathy cards at the start of the new year without that person in mind and hope the luck of 2021 is better than 2020!

This is lovely.

Guess what I discovered today? My mail program has been stashing most of my blog post reminders into my junk folder, something I tend to forget about. I'll be playing catch up with some of your older posts now.

hugs,
Teresa
