It's time for the next alphabet prompt at Beccy's Place in the 30 Days of Holiday cards and today is the letter "E". I decided it would be a perfect time to make an Easel card and to also do some Embossing.
I love this particular snowman from Beccy's Place and I think I've used him on a Christmas card each year since I first got him.
I colored with ProMarkers and chalks, then cut the image with a fancy oval die from Spellbinders. The sentiment piece is also from Beccy's and I cut it with the smallest die from that same Spellbinders set. I decided that by folding up the top part of the sentiment, I could use it as the Easel stop.
I used one of my snow swirl Embossing folders to emboss both the front and back flaps of the card. I turned down one corner of the top flap, making this card a twisted Easel, added the image piece, and left it plain with no ribbon, no bows, no flowers - I wanted the Embossing to showcase the image and the image to be the focal point.

OK, I've been up as long as I can handle so I'm going to go drink something warm and then cuddle with my fur babies 'til I feel better. :-D Happy Crafting. NanaConnie

Oh, I love easel cards - and what a fun fold for it! What a great snowman, too! Thanks so much for playing at TSOT!
What an adorable easel card! I love snowmen, but I want to see more snow women stamps!! This guy looks a little sad though!! Maybe because he is missing a Snow WOMAN!!
I hope you're feeling a little better today NC, snuggling with your fur babies sounds like good medicine.
Your twisted easel card is fantastic! I agree that embossing is more than enough to decorate this card, it's a gorgeous pattern and works beautifully with the snowy image. I like your idea of folding up the sentiment panel to act as the anchor for your easel... clever!
Cheers,
Beccy
I love that you used the embossing folder on the base. All the texture is wonderful and that little snowman is so cute, I see how he would be a favorite. Thanks so much for joining us at CRAFT Challenge this week!
NanaConnie, wow, really pretty...love all the embossing and the decorative oval frame with such an adorable snowman and fantastic coloring. And isn't that a bird hanging out on the tree...extra chance for random draw. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful card with us and sharing it with Try Stamping on Tuesdays TicTacToe challenge as well.

You are a tricky one, Connie! When I first looked at your beautiful card, I couldn't see how you used our Tic-Tac-Tuesday grid, but as soon as you pointed it out it was obvious! You have a lot of talent! Don't forget to enter your card in Double-Trouble's challenge,,, you meet all their challenge requirements, too, including their "Twisted Sister" option! Thans for sharing your creativity with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!!! -Donna
