Keeping in Touch

It's Wednesday and this particular Wednesday a new sketch challenge is beginning over at The Outlawz where I'm a Guest Designer for the month of April.  Jan's Digi Stamps is sponsoring the sketch challenges there this month and I happily used this darling image & sentiment from Jan's "A Little Note" set.  I stuck with a very CAS design to show off the image.

Here's the sketch.  I adjusted it for a square card.

Colored with ProMarkers and pencils
Image & Sentiment cut with Spellbinders dies
Edges inked with ProMarker
Raffia wrap
Burlap twine bow

Daisy May and Sweet Pea Easter

My second post of the morning and the third one for the First of the Month (counting the one last night at 9 p.m. my time) and this card is my DT creation for the Digi Doodle Studios April 1 challenge (no April Fool!)   This sweet image is called "Daisy May and Sweet Pea" and worked perfectly for our challenge theme of "Easter or Spring."  I added an Easter sentiment but it could still be delightful spring card for those who don't celebrate Easter.

I was inspired by the photo at Catch the Bug.

Colored with ProMarkers and gel inks
Image, card front, & Sentiment cut with Dare 2B Artzy die
Scrap dp from DCWV "Basics" stack
Embroidered flower & raffia bow for a bit of texture

Party Barn

This is for the last day of the 10th Birthday Celebration at Catch the Bug challenge where the overall theme has been "Down on the Farm."  Each day there has been a different challenge with a different theme and today Bugaboo Stamps gave away a freebie which can be used with today's photo theme (see below.)  You have until the 20th to get all your daily entries done and posted.  Here's a link to the FREEBIE.

I used it, plus a barn from a set by Jan's Digi Stamps.  The party got so huge they had to move it outside the barn!

Here's the inspiration photo and I based my card on the sketch at Cheerful Sketches.

I also used ALL the colors from the Tic Tac Toe board at
although I muted the Sangria on the barn doors.

Pumpkin Thyme

I've rediscovered Jan's Digi Stamps, which I used to get through Sparkle N Sprinkle.  When SnS closed, I was afraid I'd lost Jan's beautiful images forever but then I found that she has her own store, which you can check out here.

These images are from two of her new autumn sets, which I'm using on a Thanksgiving card.  I merged the images and I love the effect of distance between them.
