"Q" for Quiet Christmas & Quilt

I'm working on the letter prompt "Q" at Beccy's Place 30 Days of Christmas and that's one of the hardest letters since there really isn't a lot in the crafting world which starts with a "Q" other than quilting and quilling, neither of which are all that specific to Christmas.  Nevertheless, I managed to use one of my Quilting dies and do a card reflecting a Quiet Christmas Day.  The image is from Beccy's and was one I had colored but not used when I was doing cards for this last year.  So happy to have it now.  :-D

I wish I could have added that it was a Quick card but it wasn't.  I spent parts of 2 days getting this one made, what with all the fussing and fitting and trying to match directionality of the plaid!  Not really the thing to do with a sore back but it occupied both mind and body for Quite a lot of time.  This gentle image just felt right for this year when so many of us are having to trim down our Christmas celebrations due to the Covid-19 shut downs.

Your quilt is beautiful NanaConnie. Not the thing to be doing with a sore back so hope it hasn't set you back again. I like the image and as you say the perfect sentiment for many people this year. We are very fortunate that we don't have any community transmission at the moment - and hoping it stays that way!

This is such a beautiful card NC, and I agree that it has a "quiet" feel to it. I love the quilted background, the colours and patterns are gorgeous... I'd love an actual quilt like that! Well done.
Cheers,
Beccy

There is just something about quilts and offering comfort especially during this time with covid. Glad it was able to occupy your mind a bit with the piecing of it and well worth it as it looks amazing! HUGS

I love your quilted background and the image does look perfect with it.hope your back is not troubling you too much. I belong to a quilting group and one of the exchanges for next yr is to make a mug rug design using the first letter of your name. The only thing
I have come up with is Vertical so far which isn’t much to go on. Hugs Mrs A.

Connie! What a stunning card - so much work, amazing. I adore the homely feel and that's probably what this Holiday will be all about. It might do some folk a lot of good to get back to having a cosy Christmas - I don't know though. Favourite time for me? Christmas Eve when the fire is lit, the tree is twinkling and there isn't any more you can do anyhow!

Hugs
