Jesus - the Reason for the Season

Saying Thank You to all Military Veterans and their families!

Today is the day for the Letter "J" in the 30 Days of Christmas at Beccy's Place and my card not only features the Baby Jesus but also an altered "Joy-fold" card which Beccy showed us a week or so ago.  It was fun to make but I had to look up instructions for a regular "Joy-fold" and then look back at Beccy's alteration in order to figure it all out.  I also used Jonquil marker for the straw in the manger.

I hope my photos will help you see how it works, but be sure to check out Beccy's instructions, too.

A wonderful fold making the baby Jesus image the focal point both outside and inside when the card is open.

Great Altered Joyfold Card NanaConnie. I had thought of doing the same thing but I had already cut out my Joyfold card by that point. Maybe next year..

Awesome NC!!! You've done a fabulous job with your altered Joy Fold card. Great idea to use the baby and manager, you did a wonderful job cutting around the image. Love the papers you chose, brown is one of my favourite colours... it just seems to coordinate well with almost everything else. I really like the simple sentiment you added too. Fabulous.
Cheers,
Beccy

I absolutely LOVE your wonderful card. This is what Christmas is ALL about - the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We would be SO lost without Him (as so many people sadly still are). We all need Him for our eternal security, whether we realize it or not. Praise God that you've shared this wonderful card to remind us of His GREAT LOVE for us.
Blessings,
Karen
