Challenge #2 at Jan's Digi Stamps

Our second challenge has started at Jan's Digi Stamps today and once again we have an "Anything Goes" theme for you.  I'm sharing two cards I've done using pre-colored images from the "Holiday Candy Deluxe 947" set.  I've been doing Christmas cards for the last couple of months but when time runs short or when you need a last minute card for an unexpected guest the in-laws brought along (!), pre-colored images can save the day.  Nearly every set from Jan's has both black and white outline images and pre-colored versions included in the same set.

Cut w/ Sizzix scalloped circle die
Snowflakes cut with Art Impressions dies
Sentiment (from this set) was hand cut
Wide ribbon with glittered edges
Red CS base

     Challenges:

Die-namics dies for image and frame, inlaid dies
Sentiment hand cut
Doodlebug dp
Lavender ribbon w/ hand tied bow

     Challenges:
Cardz TV
Crafty Catz
Creative Fingers
Outlawz Festive Fri
Winter Wonderland

     Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Such a pretty duo, Connie ... the foliage and candy cane panel really pops against the rich reds in the background ... wonderfully festive! Thanks so much for playing along with us again at Time Out! Anita :)

Wow...these are awesome pre-colored images. Yes, there are some beautiful ones out there that I don't mind using...a lot of Dearie Dolls comes to mind and Doodle Pantry. No need to mess with a good thing. Love your choice of papers and design. Your cards remind me that I'll never catch up on Christmas cards.

You sound like you've had a few incidences of unexpected guests - how frustrating!! I'm like you - last Christmas we went to an extended family member's house and I brought a card and gift for someone just in case. She ended up not even there! Better to be over-prepared, I say.

Your cards are lovely. For the top one, I love those snowflakes! They pop on the red paper.

Thanks for sharing with us at Penny's, and good luck with your entry! :)

Two beautiful cards! What fantastic coloring on both images. I like the addition of the large ribbon to the first card... wrapped up like a gift! Thanks for playing at Time Out Challenges!
