You're How Old ?!

I was a winner at Cre8tive Hands this week and, while I've played in their challenges a few times, this was the first time I've visited their store.  Of course, the first thing that happened was that I fell in love with half a dozen feline images so, after claiming my prize, I went on a shopping spree.  I'm also now a member of their monthly club where I will be getting up to 20 images per month for $5, plus a discount on purchases from the store.  Since I'm really crazy about everything I've seen, that's going to work out for me.  :-D

Here's my first card using a Cre8tive Hands image.

I used the sketch at The Outlawz.

The cat is colored with my newest Warm Gray markers from ProMarkers, and I hope he looks like a young Siamese just beginning to get his distinctive markings.  I used a Memory Box Scalloped Circle Stitched die to cut him and did an out-of-the-box technique.  I used that same circular die to cut out the sentiment, cutting it once from the top, then moving the die and cutting it from the bottom to get an oval instead of a circle.

The "Happy Birthday" is from a Spellbinders set and the dp is from DCWV, the "Midnight Chic" pad.  I hoard this particular stack of paper because I love working in black and white but it's hard to find really great b&w papers.  When I found this stack over 2 years ago, I grabbed it up and now I wish I'd grabbed two.  I haven't been able to find it since and every pattern is just so fabulous.  Consequently, I save all the scraps every time and use them before cutting a new sheet, if that's at all possible.  This was a scrap piece that fit the card and the sketch perfectly.

Believe it or not, there are three sets of three sequins each on the card but they're hard to find in the photo.  They sparkle like the dickens IRL !

Haha, finder's keepers. I had to go back and look for the sequins.
---Your kitty is super cute and I like how you used the circles: clever girl. I tell you a secret: I do too own tons of DCWV but looked for the one you used and I do not have it. I would have asked if you wanted it, oh well. Maybe another stack some day.

---Congrats on your winning from the Cre8tive Hands Friends. I am happy you joined our monthly digi club too. Thanks so much for your patronage and thanks you for continuing to participate in our bi-weekly challenges. We appreciate it so much.
