Puppy Fetch

It's Friday!  Hooray!  How about a great way to start off your weekend?  We have a new challenge this morning over at Crafty Catz.  Our theme is always "Anything Goes" but we also offer an OPTIONAL theme for you if you choose to use it.  This challenge that option is "Use Stencils."

Our sponsor is Dr. Digi and they supplied images for the DT to use.  I chose "Fetching Fido" because I think he's so adorable!  I colored the image with Sanjoki markers, then cut it with a QuicKutz square die.  I used a Fiskars punch to decorate the corners.  The background papers were made using three different stencils on colored paper.  The sentiment was printed and cut with an Avery Elle die.

Come play with us.  This challenge runs through June 13 and the next one begins on June 14.  We'd love to see what you create, with or without using a stencil.

     Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Cheeky Devil

This fun image is from Dr. Digi and it's called "Cheeky Devil."  I love the whole idea of a wizard having an imp in a bottle!  How clever.  :-D

I used water color paints again, then cut the image with a rectangle die from QuicKutz.  Once cut, I used a Fiskars punch on the corners of both the image and the mat behind it.  The plaid dp was in the scrap basket and I thought it worked well for a masculine card.  I think it was originally from a Recollections stack.  The sentiment was printed and cut with an Avery Elle die.  I left it pretty CAS with no embellishment beyond the dp and the punched corners.

Dressed in His Best

Ever heard the expression "All dressed up and no place to go?"  Well, that's the problem for this Lothario from Dr. Digi which is the freebie image for the May Progressive Challenge at The Outlawz.

I colored with ProMarkers and then cut the image with a die from a Sue Wilson set.  The distressed background was done using an embossing folder from Couture Creations.  I printed, hand cut, and added the sentiment at the bottom.

     Challenges:
Coloring in Scrapland
Crafting by Designs
Crafting from the Heart
Crafty Creations
Crafty Gals Corner
Get Creative
I {heart} ProMarkers
Lemon Shortbread

That's all I have for today but I'm hoping to do some coloring later on (if the shoulder is willing and able.)  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie
