I'm finally getting to play with and share new (new to me) Mo's Digital Pencil images which I purchased before the holidays but had no time to use before the holiday rush and scramble began. Now that we're in the New Year, I have breathing room and managed to get this new card done.
I combined these two images with that sentiment because they brought back childhood memories of trying to teach my cat to play fetch. Well, our family's golden retriever did it pretty well with only a little bit of training so why not the cat? The cat on this card pretty much tells the story of what happened . :-D
I deliberately used bright pink ribbon because everything else on the card was done in pastel shades, including the lavender CS behind the image piece.
Colored w/ ProMarkers & chalks
Cut with Spellbinders border die - used on all 4 sides
1/8th" ribbon woven through and tied in the corner
Gem added to bow
Rosette for tassel cut w/ QuicKutz die
Sentiment printed and hand cut

This is adorable! Such a cute image and it is very fitting! I'm trying to teach our new kitten to fetch. It seemed to be going well for a while, he would actually bring the toy back, but now he seems to be turning into a real cat and chases the toy and then just looks at you. Anyway, love the color combo. Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built. (I'm sorry that the link up isn't working for you, just continue to leave your link in the comments; but please, be kind in your comments. Either Wendy and I, or maybe both, will comment on your entries and they will be factored in for the prize.)
Thank you for playing along with us at Allsorts, your creation is a bit too vibrant to be pastel though.
The ribbon is the only vibrant thing on the card. Everything else is pastel. I really felt the ribbon needed to be vibrant for contrast. Sorry you were disappointed. :-D
Oh wow, that is a brilliant picture! Indeed, good luck with training the cat.
Hugs Monica
Such a cute card with the adorable images and love how you weaved the ribbon. Thank you so much for joining in at my Crafty Wednesday challenge this month!

WOW! I'm in love with your coupling of these two fun images with that sentiment! So clever! Thank you for joining in the fun at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge with your lovely colourful creation. Good luck! We hope to see you at our next challenge starting today! Hugs, Lesley
Oh my... What a great card! Too funny!! I love how well this illustrates your childhood memory too. I must be one of the lucky ones as I currently have a cat that will fetch. I didn't even have to teach him. He's 17 now and started doing it when he was a kitten. I'm thinking he must be a Persian Retriever Mix. Lol. Thank you for playing along with The House That Stamps Built. ~ Wendy
