Useless Barnyard Cat

Hey, it's June 1st and I'm sharing my newest DT card for the monthly challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.  We're sponsored by Rick St. Dennis this month and our theme is always "Anything Goes with a Featured Critter."

We're also partnering with Double Trouble when their challenge begins on June 3.  Check out their requirements and options starting June 3.

My card features a lazy (but cuddly) barnyard cat that refuses to hunt mice!  Who can blame him?  I wouldn't want to catch those nasty critters in my mouth either.  lol

The image is colored with ProMarkers, highlighted with white gel ink, then cut with a pinpoint die from Memory Box.  The background was dry embossed with a Darice folder.  The mice were cut from a small scrap of ivory CS with a Gina Marie die.

I used sheer ribbon from my stash, wrapped it around the card front and tied the bow.  Finally, I printed and hand cut the sentiment, then added it.

     Challenges:
Art Impressions
Crafting from the Heart
Creative Knockouts
Cutie Pie (center column)
Dare 2B Artsy
Outlawz Greetings
Pixie's Snippets

Hoping to see you playing along this month and don't forget to check out Double Trouble on or after June 3rd.  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Aw! Is that how your kitties are? They would rather love on your rather than chase any mice? Not my kitty! She is a mouser all the way, and enjoys stalking her prey, doing a rather fantastic job of keeping our area clean of unwanted pests! Your coloring is beautiful, Connie, and I love that background around the image. The "paper weaving" is a perfect backdrop for a gardener! Hoping you are soon feeling much better!

The problem is that little cat is too cute and pretty to catch mice! LOVE your sweet and pretty card Connie. Great coloring on that image too.

What a sweet card, love the sentiment. We had a barn cat that would let the mice and rabbits run around her rather than hurt them!! Thank you for joining us at The Cutie Pies. Sarah DT

Love all the little mice. Cat is clearly not doing what cats are supposed to do! Thank you for entering the Crafting From the Heart challenge.

What an adorable image and great coloring...kitty looks pretty content and does not want anything to do with those mice. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble.

She doesn't like to bring you 'presents' like our next door neighbor cat?? LOL I can't blame her as I wouldn't want to go near any mice either. Your card is adorable!
