Momma Bunny

At first glance, you're going to think this is another Easter card, but look again.  It's about a Momma's Love.  :-D  The image is from Whoopsi Daisy and I think it's so precious!

I used ProMarkers, then cut the image with a die from Spellbinders.  I used a second Spellbinders die to cut the frame and I inked around the inside edge before I layered it onto the image piece.  All the little circles were cut with dies from QuicKutz.

The metallic ribbon was in  my stash and I made a small cut in the frame, wrapped the ribbon around the card front, threaded it through the small cut, then tied it into a bow to secure it.  I printed, hand cut, and added the sentiment across the 3 circles at the bottom of the image.

Welcome Home

Neighbors on my street have been traveling the whole summer and got home just in time for the Labor Day holiday so they shuffled the things in their bags and took a weekend at the beach.  lol  I thought if I did a card welcoming them home, maybe they'd stay more than one day.

My card features this sweet little girl collecting her travel bags and it's from Whoopsi Daisy.

I was inspired by the sketch at The Outlawz.

I colored with ProMarkers, then cut the image with a stitched, scalloped die from Memory Box.  I cut the mat for the image with a larger die from that same set.

The butterfly dp was a large scrap I had in the basket and, with glitter and embossing, I thought it was the perfect way to enhance this card so I cut shapes dictated by the sketch and added them appropriately.  The sentiment was printed and added above the image and my final touch was the sheer bow with a tiny button.

Live, Love, Laugh

This card features another of those I-colored-it-and-put-it-into-the-file-folder-for-future-use but this time I know exactly who created the image.  It's from Whoopsi Daisy.  Strangely enough, when I try to get to their blog site, I get an error message that the blog has been removed.  Weird!  (Edited to note:  I heard from Linnie and she has closed the blog but the store is still open.)

I started with the sketch from My Favorite Things
but I flipped it side to side.

Sketch Challenge 345 #mftstamps

I used my ProMarkers to color the image, then cut it with a die from Spellbinders.  The circle die cut with the butterflies is also from Spellbinders.  I layered those together and then added them to a scrap piece of blue CS which was embossed with my "Linen" folder.

The pink, blue and purple background was done with alcohol inks which were sprayed with alcohol and left to dry, then ironed flat.  I added a shiny, silver-edged, royal blue ribbon to it and mounted it onto the card front.  The sentiment(s) was heat embossed with white EP.  I added one white rose and the tiny blue bow for embellishment.

Great Hair Day

I hate to admit how long it's been since I used a Whoopsi Daisy image but I'm making up for it.  In the last week, I've colored three WD images and will be sharing them with you over the next couple of weeks.

As I looked at this image before coloring it, I could just see my granddaughter pulling her hair back in either braids or pony tails and looking like summer sunshine.  :-D  So, out came the yellows and summer-y coral pink ProMarkers for coloring the image.

After she was colored, I did an out-of-the-box technique, cutting her with a simple scalloped die from Spellbinders, and I inked the edges all the way around.  I cut the matting oval with a die from another Spellbinders set but I ran that CS through my Linen embossing folder before I cut it.

I added the sentiment on top of the image, then layered everything onto striped dp (DCWV) and found the gingham ribbon and fabric flower, which I knew would be prefect embellies.  I put all of that onto the pale, pinky-beige, card front and called it finished.

Time to Water the Garden

As hot as it's been the past few days, I've had to make sure the garden was well watered so that things didn't wilt and die.  This sweet image from Whoopsi Daisy (Tic Tac Toe challenge where I used the first column) caught my eye and was just waiting for me to color it and showcase it on a card.  :-D

I used the sketch from The Outlawz,
adjusting it from square to an A2 size rectangle.

I used my ProMarkers to color the image, then cut it into a simple rectangle and matted it.  The frame is cut with a Gina Marie die and everything is mounted onto a black card front.  I added silver ribbon to the bottom with a polka dot bow.  I did faux stitching on the image and on the frame.  I added a double-layer, die cut butterfly, and a few gems on each side of the bow.
