Last Dance

Today's card is for yet another of my favorite progressive challenges; this one at the Sasayaki Glitter FB challenge.  I used lots of gray on it so that I could enter it into their blog challenge also.  What could be cuter than chameleons dancing on a summer beach 'til the sun comes up?

I used the sketch from MojoMonday
and this is their last challenge.
Sadly, they are closing.

Those cute dancing lizards are colored with ProMarkers, then cut with a die from Sue Wilson.  The zig zag pattern across the middle of the card was cut with a die from CCC Designs.  I added sparkly rhinestones to both the top and bottom corners but left it rather plain after that since, once again, this is a card which has to be mailed.

Can't Be Late!

The latest Progressive Challenge has started over at The Outlawz and the freebie image this month is from Di's Digi Designs.  I loved it the minute I saw it and couldn't wait to use it so now I've added one more birthday card to my stash.

I based my card design on the sketch from Mojo Monday.
I had to modify it slightly so I could make a square card
and so I wouldn't cover up any of the image.

I used my ProMarkers to color it, then cut it with a double stitched die from Die-Versions.  I cut the two frames with larger dies from that same set and those are not layers but insets.  The orange papers are from Stampin' Up and the brown and beige are from my CS stash.

I tied the double bow with 1/8th inch ribbon.  The sentiment was printed, die cut, and matted.  Now it's ready for a special occasion birthday.

Well, from three posts yesterday to just one today.  Are you feeling deprived?  :-D  Hope not but if so, I'll have another post tomorrow so just wait a few more hours.  Happy Stamping.  NanaConnie

In the Pink Again

Another Pink card for October's Breast Cancer Awareness, this time using a delightful image from The East Wind.  This was a newsletter freebie and works so perfectly for Breast Cancer Awareness cards.  Mine is focused on those of us who have survived and on celebrating that marvelous fact.  :-D

I chose to work with the sketch from Mojo Monday
but deviated from it a bit because I simply loved
all the polka dots and didn't want to cover them up on the
lower portion of the card.  :-D

I used my ProMarkers to color it, then cut it with a Stitched Scalloped Circle die from Memory Box.  I die cut another plain Stitched Circle (Die-namics) as a frame and then layered that onto another, larger Stitched Scalloped Circle for an additional frame.

I used very wide, sheer, pink ribbon and added a polka dot ribbon on top of that.  Both of those are scraps left from another project which you'll be seeing in a couple of days.  I die cut the sentiment tag and finally, made one of my 'bowtie' bows, using yet another polka dot ribbon from my scrap stash bin.

Happy Fall Cat

I was so lucky in a game over on the Facebook page of Sheepski Designs and I won this darling image!  I won in the very next game, also, and another digi was my prize.  You'll see that one in a day or two.

I started this card with the sketch at Mojo Monday,
where they want to see tall and skinny cards.
Mine is 7 1/4" x 4 1/2" and I had
to make the envelope myself.

While it doesn't show really well in the photo, this is a lapped, gatefold card.  The left flap is wider than the one on the right (but narrower than the overall width of the card) and the right flap tucks inside, under the left flap.  What you see as a colored strip on the right side is actually the outside edge of the right flap.

I colored that darling cat with my ProMarkers, then cut him with one of my stitched rectangle dies from Die-namics.  I cut another piece with the next size larger die from that same set and used it to mat the image.  All the papers came from different stacks by DCWV and most of those are matted with kraft brown CS.

Middle of the week so it's down hill to the weekend.  I'm celebrating because we haven't had a 100 degree day in a week and none are predicted for at least another week.  I'm not going to say they are totally gone but September started tomorrow and then it's only another three weeks until autumn begins.  Can we at least hope?  :-D  Happy Stamping.  NanaConnie
