Hiking Break

I'm sharing a card I made using the image from the Progressive Challenge at LeAnn's World 101.  The image is just the girl but I added a rock, grasses, and sky, creating a background scene so that she looked like she was taking a break while out hiking.  The frame around the image was made by cutting a scrap of paper which had been water colored for the sky part and cutting a scrap of dp for the ground part.  I think it turned out pretty well.  :-D

Colored w ProMarkers
Cut w Frantic Stamper rectangle die
Frantic Stamper frame die
Card base embossed w 'Linen' EF
Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon
Hand tied bow
Sentiment printed and hand cut

Lovely card. you have coloured the image perfectly. I like the way you have attached the bow, (I normally go for top corners), I will try this on my projects x

Sally, Believe it or not the placement of the bow was done to cover a mistake. When I wrapped the ribbon around the card front, I cut it ever so slightly too short, leaving a small gap between the ribbon ends. I positioned the bow to cover the gap. It looked better at that position than putting the ribbon ends higher and cliser to the corner since I needed to put the satin bow across the width of the sheer ribbon. 😊

Love the little scene you've created. It's amazing how we can change the context of stamps by adding little details. Thanks for inspiring us at The Paper Funday Challenges! Donna, DT
