Spring Bunny

I have two posts in a row which feature images from Jan's Digi Stamps and this one is for the new weekly challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  Our theme is our usual "Anything Goes."  Jan's Digi Stamps is sponsoring us this week and I used one of the newer releases called "Spring Bunny."

I adore this bunny surrounded by all those Easter eggs, claiming to have somehow hidden all of them!  The sentiment is part of the set.  If you look at the set in the store, you'll notice that I flipped the image side to side and added extra eggs by merging secondary images before I printed anything.

I also printed the image after adding the sentiment.  I used the pre-colored image but printed it grayscale so that I could use brighter colors on the eggs and flowers but still have the shadows and highlights of the original image.  I cut the image with a rectangle die from QuicKutz, then used a Fiskars punch on the corners.  The papers are from a Recollections stack and the bow was sewn together with a rhinestone finding (for making jewelry.)

I chose colors (all 4) from My Favorite Things,
plus a couple others for the eggs.

     Challenges:

I hope we're going to see you playing along in our Anything Goes challenge this week.  We love seeing what you create and being inspired by it.  Come on over and see what the rest of the team has created.  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Generous Robin

This is one of the funniest House Mouse stamps I own and I haven't used it in a couple of years, at least.  The whole idea of  very generous robin feeding baby mice is fun but add the factor of  "generous" baby mouse passing the food offer on to one of his brothers brings on pure laughter!

I'm sending this to one of my grandsons who has two brothers.  I think he'll get a real kick out of it.  :-D

The weekend is right around the corner and I'm going to be focusing on all my First of the Month DT and Coordinator obligations because, believe it or not, September is almost here.  Then, next weekend is Labor Day here in the USA and by that time, all the rush will be behind me and I can just play and craft and visit my favorite blogs (something I haven't had time to do for a couple of weeks and I apologize.)

In the meantime, Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Christmas Skates

THIS IS IT !  A new challenge blog, Jan's Digi Stamps, starts today and I'm so happy to be part of the DT!  Our theme is always Anything Goes and there is no requirement to use Jan's Digi Stamps, although they are the exclusive sponsor.  However, if you do use images from one of Jan's sets, there will be an extra reward for you if you are the random winner.

The challenges will begin on the First and Third Mondays of each month and will run until 3 p.m. (Pacific time) the Sunday before the next challenge begins.  Winners and Top 3 will be posted on the Wednesday following the start of the new challenge.

My card today features an image from Jan's set called "Christmas Skates" and I reversed the black and white image before printing it.

Colored with ProMarkers and gel inks
Image & red frame cut with die from Die-namics
White frame cut with Memory Box die

     Challenges:

Please come and play with us these next 2 weeks.  Our challenge is not limited to just cards.  You can enter anything you have hand-crafted so it truly is an "Anything Goes" challenge.  The winner is going to walk away with a gift certificate to Jan's Digi Stamps store and we already know you're going to fall in love with Jan's digital artwork so that prize to the random winner is something really special!  Hoping to see you at the challenge.

     Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie
