Unstoppable Groundhog

If you saw my post yesterday, I'm sure you think I'm obsessed with that sparkly, copper-colored, ribbon but I actually selected the ribbon and made the bow for this card a month or more ahead of yesterday's card.  It's really just a coincidence that the two card are being posted on consecutive days.

The sentiment seems to fit my life, at least where big things are concerned.  I can get started on small projects (breathing, getting out of bed, taking a nap) but the big things (Should I be adventurous and get dressed?  Should I just stay in my PJs all day?) take much more effort and it's often difficult to actually get started.

While I have no idea who created this fun and funny groundhog because a friend stamped it and sent it to me along with about a half dozen others all featuring the odd animal, the sentiment says it all as far as I'm concerned.  :-D

Colored with ProMarkers; image and frames cut with dies from Spellbinders & QuicKutz.  The papers are all scraps and are from a Jillibean Soup stack.  The smaller scraps have been punched on 3 sides with a Fiskars border punch.  I've already explained about the bow and that ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Bugs and Hugs

I love this image and sentiment from QKR Stampede where a new challenge is starting today.  Our challenges over there were monthly challenges all summer long but now we've gone to 2 challenges per month, starting on the 1st and the 15th of each month.  Just in case you hadn't noticed, today is the 15th of September!  Yes, already!!  It's going to be Christmas before you know it.  :-D

The image is called "Bug Hugs" and the sentiment is "Bugs and Kisses."

I based this on the sketch at The Outlawz, turned lengthwise.
I also used 3 of the 4 colors from My Favorite Things.

Window in Autumn

Sharing another autumn card with a delightful image from Beccy's Place.  I think it's called Autumn Window but it's in the set of seasonal windows Beccy has done.  I love all four of the windows in the set - one for each season.  I've used this fall window a couple of times before but each time I color the stonework differently.  This time, I used dull yellows, browns, and grays.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday
but turned it sideways.

I colored it with my ProMarkers, using the ultra fine tips for the branches and the smallest leaves.  I cut it with the largest square die in the first die set I ever bought from Spellbinders.  I inked the edges twice to make it look matted and layered it onto patterned dp from Jillibean Soup.  Then, I did the sentiment, printed and hand cut.

For simple embellishments, I used pumpkins in the lower corner (cut with dies from Impression Obsession) and leaves in the upper corner (cut with a die from Dies R Us.)  I added sheer beige ribbon which I tied by hand.
