Pink Roses

These fantastic roses were drawn by Sandi Huggett (Sandi's Samples) and the image was a freebie for the Progressive Challenge at The Outlawz.  With a simple sentiment, I thought they would work beautifully for a Valentine card or for any feminine greeting card, for that matter.

I used an inspiration photo from Sunday Stamps
to choose my colors but had to add green for the leaves.

I used ProMarkers to color the roses and Copics for the leaves.  I used a die from Spellbinders to cut the image and dies from QuicKutz to cut the card and the mat behind the roses.  The pastel pink lace was in my stash, as was the grosgrain ribbon behind it.  I added silver rose embellies to the sentiment and the bow is hand-sewn.

Where the HeART Is

Yesterday, it rained most of the morning!  That may not be a big deal to many of you, especially those who are trying to handle flooding and mudslides, but for those of us living in California, it's huge!  It won't cure all the ills of our 4 1/2 year drought but an inch and a quarter over the morning hours was wonderful.  Measure that against the 4 inches we got for the whole of 2015 and it's HUGE!  :-D  Happy Stamping.  NanaConnie

Oh! this is so VERY pretty, love the addition of the lace. Isn't the image so pretty. Love the shape of the card too.

Glad your drought is over with a little rain. Hope it keeps raining for you to end your drought and fill your rivers and reservoirs.

In Wales we have had record rainfall this Winter, since 1766, it seems that it rained 28 out of 31 days for December! With lots of flooding. So even though you could do with rain we could do with some Sun! We are never satisfied are we? LOL.
