We're getting down to the end of the week long, daily challenges at Catch the Bug and the theme today is a recipe: Kraft, Ribbon, and Bold Colors. I decided on birthday party invitations this time and have made a dozen. There's room inside for all the What, When, and Where info, all of which can be filled in by hand.
I colored the Bugaboo image with my ProMarkers, then die cut it and the sentiment with plain oval dies from Spellbinders. I inked the edges of each oval and mounted them onto a kraft card base (new CS and envelopes.) I found two different ribbons in my stash, layered them together, and wrapped them around the card front.
I added a satin bow and a gemstone butterfly for embellishment (also new stash.) I have different colors of butterflies on the dozen invitations because I didn't have enough of one color to do them all.

Having different colored butterflies on the invitations doesn't matter in my opinion, the cards will match but with just a slight variation. Fun concept of cards! Thanks for joining in our birthday bash at Catch the Bug!
