I remember the days when I used to go out and fight the crowds to get my Christmas shopping done. I hated every minute of it and always felt totally drained afterward. As each year rolled by, it felt more and more like a chore and less and less like a fun shopping trip. With the advent of internet browsing, I finally quit in store Christmas shopping altogether! Now I do it all online and often have everything done by the end of August or mid-September at the latest. :-D
When I saw this cat image from Beccy's Place, I knew I could turn it into the most fun card for her 30 Day of Holidays, using it to express the "E" of her alphabet theme. Yes, E for "E"xhaustion!
I colored the cat with my ProMarkers, then added some strokes of white gel ink. I used an Unbranded, stitched, frame die to cut the image. The red CS is "E"mbossed with a poinsettia folder from Darice. Four of the "E"mbellishment packages are handmade from scrap bits and pieces, then mounted with Pop Dots. The two smallest packages are simply stickers which have been in my Christmas stash for who-knows-how-long? The patterned dp was a leftover scrap from a Recollections stack and the glittery poinsettia also came from my stash.

I based my card design on the sketch at Sketch Saturday,
flattening and stretching it to accommodate
the direction of my image.

I love your take on the letter "E" NC... it's totally appropriate for this time of year! I must admit that I get tired of the whole shopping scene too, especially when you can't find what you're looking for and the stores are full of busy, flustered shoppers. We are buying more and more of our gifts online too.
You did a wonderful job adding "fur" to the kitty, he's coloured beautifully. I love all the little gift embellishments you added around the bottom of your card and the colourful holly sprig at the top too. Well done!
Cheers,
Beccy

Exhausting is so right! How did we ever survive without the internet anyway!
Love your cute card and take on the "E". Precious!

Such a darling tired little kitty - bless her heart for doing all the shopping. I love your little embellies, and all the glittery happiness, with the poinsettia-embossed background, too! Darling card. hugs, de
