A new challenge starts today over at
Jan's Digi Stamps where our theme is always "Anything Goes" and winners are chosen by a random draw. I want to show off one of the cutest newly released sets, "
Get Well Soon 3260J." The sentiment is also part of the set.
I want to share with you a technique I used for coloring this image. I started with the pre-colored image that comes with the set instead of the black & white line drawing, even though I fully intended to color the image myself. Before printing it, I adjusted the image to the far side of the gray scale.
Why bother doing it that way when a B&W line drawing was available in the set? Because the line drawing didn't have the excellent shadows & shading and the colored version did! So, I printed the gray scale image, then colored it, and all the lovely shading and highlights came through, making my own coloring look almost 'professional.' :-D
