Cat, Book, and Candle

OK, one more that could be a Halloween card but it'll be for next year.  I know I said I was done for this year, but that doesn't mean I won't make any more Halloween cards - you'll probably see one every month or so.   It just means I'll put them in the stash for next year.     :-D

I really did this card for the 2020 Cat Lovers Hop, put on by Janis at Her Peaceful Garden.  She puts it on for a week every year in late October and there are dozens and dozens of prizes from some very wonderful sponsors.  This year you can enter a total of 5 projects over the 6 days of the hop, which ends on Saturday, October 31.

Here's my card for what is now Day 4 of the hop.

Colored w chalks, pencils, ProMarkers, & gel inks
Image cut w Spellbinders die
Black & yellow mats cut w Memory Box dies
Lattice work cut w Memory Box die
Charcoal sparkle ribbon = Really Reasonable Ribbon
Hand tied bow - Satin edged sheer ribbon
Sentiment printed & cut with Avery Elle die

     Challenges:

Check out the Cat Lovers Hop before it closes!  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

What a beautiful "cat" card - and today 10-29-2020 is national cat day. When I first looked at the card I thought your focal image was pre-printed until I read your coloring mediums. Great job. Thanks for joining us over at The House that Stamps Built.

Note in response to Glittered Paws - This is another of the grayscale images sent to me by a friend after I lost all my digi when my thumb drive crashed. She mailed me half a dozen Halloween images which she had printed in grayscale (I assume from a pre-colored image) so the all the shadows and highlights were already there when I colored them. I love how they look and have definitely learned something about using pre-colored images even when I want to color my own! :-D

Your colouring is just amazing, NC! If I didn't know you coloured it, I would have guessed it was a painting. Beautifully done! Such a gorgeous image too!

A mesmerisingly beautiful image, Connie. It does look like a pre-coloured collage image - your colouring is that good! :) I must look out for greyscale images in future. A lovely layout as well. xx
