Holly and Berries

A very CAS design on today's card which has an image from Doodle Pantry.

I started with a favorite sketch from Die Cut Divas,
(from May, 2015), turned upside down and modified to add the image.
I took my colors from the photo at {Pin}spirational.

The sentiment is done with a die from Memory Box and it's actually the negative left behind from cutting out the word "Christmas" for another project.  I decided to use that left over scrap instead of throwing it away.  I paired it up with a scrap of dp I'd saved from last Christmas and the two were perfect for a 5.5" x 5.5" square card.

I cut the holly image, added glitter to the berries, and inked the edges with distress ink before layering it on top of the papers.  I left it completely unembellished because I wanted that beautiful image to take center stage.

The image really does take center stage - and it's so pretty! No embellishments needed at all!

I put all my scraps in a little container on my desk and then rifle through when i need something - every so often a clear out (via a card) is called for ! Great idea :) Thanks for sharing with us at AAA Cards - Jenny :)
