Student Pilot

Yes, I know birds learn to fly at a young age and aren't required to have a license but that's only when they use their own wings to fly.  Flying a broom like a witch is a totally different thing!  Check out the example below and you'll see what I mean about being a Student Pilot.

I used the sketch at I {Heart} Sketches (turned sideways)
and also followed their "CAS with paper strips" twist.

Sketch122

That silly bird is a digi I got at From the Heart Stamps and those Bird Brains are fast becoming favorites of mine.  I used my ProMarkers to color the image then added strips cut from dp scraps and three little black gems.

I'm trying to get caught up on things after being gone last week so if I haven't made it over to visit your blog yet, be patient with me, won't you?  I have more classes this week and have to find time to get my car registered, have some lab work done, and still find some time for relaxation and fun in the craft room.

There's so much to learn about diabetes and so many lifestyle changes that must be made and, at the moment, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.  But a healthier life is one of the advantageous results I expect to see so I'm ready to do whatever is required by the docs and dieticians.  Happy Stamping.  NanaConnie

This is a darling card. The look on that little "student's face" is precious. Sorry to hear you were diagnosed with Diabetes. I am on the cusp of having it. I fight daily to keep my A1C down. Haven't had to go on meds as of yet. I keep trying to do it with diet and exercise, but it is no fun. Hope you find some time to relax this week.

BirdBrain looks great! Great take on the sketch. Loving your coloring job too. Making your life style changes is very important. I took a Diabetes Prevention Class about a year and a half ago and it's made a huge difference in our life. But my husband just had a heart attack a few weeks ago and that's a life changing event too. Hang in there. It will make a difference. I'll keep you in my prayers. Hugs!

Such a fab image and sentiment I did chuckle when I saw it, you've shown them off beautifully.

Sorry about the diabetic diagnosis. I have it too, but thankfully diet controlled. My elder brother was diagnosed when his blood sugar was dangerously high and rushed into hospital, after a year of my SIL being strict with his diet and a walk every day, he has come off everything, even his 3 times a day insulin injection. So keep up with the good choices. Another tip, plenty of water!
