Turkey Dinner?

It's Friday again and that mean a new challenge at QKR Stampede.  Our theme for the challenge this week is "Harvest Colors."  I had just come in from tidying up my garden by tossing the old plants which were pretty brown and withered and I'm sure that influenced my color choices for this image -- mostly kraft and browns with splashes of red, yellow, and orange.

The name of this image is "Turkey Dinner" (Digi 102) and I'm not sure whether that refers to the corn being the turkey's dinner or the turkey being Thanksgiving dinner.  :-D  Either way, the image name made for a great sentiment questioning that very thing.

I used my ProMarkers to color the scene, then die cut it and two CS mats with my newest rectangle stitching dies from Lawn Fawn.  The corner die cuts are by Spellbinders.  I added the little bow which is one of those I make by the dozens and toss into my stash for future use.

     Challenges:
Stamp & Create
Vintage Stamping/Flonz
Whimsy Inspiration
Word Art Wednesday

Hopefully, in another week or two, I'll be back into my daily posting routine or at least more than just a couple of times a week.  The adjustment to a life as a Type 2 diabetic is taking a while and there's so much to absorb about things to do to stay healthy in the face of that.  I'm learning it all slowly but surely.  :-D  Happy Stamping.  NanaConnie

The turkey looks to be saying "Oh No!" so I'm thinking that means he is the dinner. In any event you colored him very nicely. Great die pieces and stitched dies. Have a good weekend.

This little gobbler is so cute, I want to tell him to RUN away from that axe in the background. I love the stitch marks around the edges on this design. Did you use a sewing machine to do that?
Hugs & smiles,

! Wonderful card, Connie! The corner die cut is so pretty! As are your Autumn colors. Poor little gobbler. He doesn't seem long for this world, does he? Hopefully your drought is coming to an end with winter on the way.
