Magical

We're a third of the way through September and I'm finally getting my card done using the new image for the Progressive Challenge at Moondrea.  She's called Lilly Cinderela and I flipped the image side to side before printing it for coloring.

Once printed, I colored her with a combination of Ohuhu and Sanjoki alcohol ink markers.  Once I finished that, I die cut her with a Tonic Studios die.  The sentiment was cut with an Avery Elle die.  I chose that single word sentiment because of all the magic associated with Cinderella's Godmother.

I used a scrap of glitter CS for the background.  You know how hard it is to toss out scraps, even those with holes from precious die cuts?  That's especially true for me with glittery sparkle papers.  Believe it or not, beneath the image piece, there's a hole!  lol  I added the mulberry paper flower as a single embellishment and it seemed to just be a perfect finish to the card.

I now have nearly a dozen Thanksgiving cards and another more-than-a-dozen Halloween cards made and I'll be sharing those with you over the next month or so.  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

Cinderella Shoes

Cinderella clearly knew the value of a good pair of slippers and I submit for consideration that in itself is reason enough to go shopping for a new pair of shoes!  This delightful image from SheepSki Designs inspired me.  For their FB challenge, they want us to use two colors so I chose pink and silver.

This one is pretty simple because I wanted the shoe to be the main focus.  I colored it with ProMarkers and cut the image with a rectangle die (Spellbinders), then punched the corners for a bit of  visual interest (Fiskars.)

I put the image onto an embossed card front, added the hand-cut sentiment, and tied that outrageous triple bow with the help of my bow maker.  Almost as an afterthought, I decided to add the silver pearls and that really dressed up the shoe.  Now I know Cinderella would love this pair!  :-D

Losing Your Favorite Glass Slippers

We have a new challenge which starts today at Crafts Galore Encore and one of our sponsors is Star Stampz (the other is ppinkydolls.)  I couldn't wait to color up this adorable Cinderella by Star Stampz.  She looks so distressed at losing her glass slipper, don't you think?  It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the clock striking midnight, right?

I used my ProMarkers to color the image, adding a bit of sparkle gel ink to the lost slipper before coating it with Glossy Accents.  I also added sparkle to the stars in the sky but none of that shows in the photo.  Sigh...

I wanted the card to be very feminine so I started by cutting the image and its mat with 2 different dies from Spellbinders.  I used wide lace on the card front before layering on the image piece.   I printed the sentiment and adhered it to the upper corner.  Finally, I added the large bow and the two flowers (one made from ribbon and one punched from mulberry paper.)
