My daughter has collected Christmas nutcrackers for many years and I've contributed my share of them to her growing collection. But I've never done a Christmas card for her with a nutcracker image so this year I've done two different ones and now have to decide between them. :-D This is the second one and I used the image from the Progressive Challenge at ArtbyMiRan.
I started by coloring the image with my ProMarkers, then die cut it with a die from Spellbinders. I dug out a couple of snippets of dp and red CS, then layered everything together following the sketch pattern. I did reverse the position of the red square and the striped dp strip because it just looked better this way.
I added sparkle gel ink to the bell and glitter to the fur on her costume. I printed the sentiment on the computer, fussy cut and adhered it, then added the three, glittery, snowflakes for embellishment.

My MIL collected them for years also. First off I need to apologize for not visiting too often of late. Just getting into other things and time slips by for me. I love this card and I know your daughter will also. Great coloring job and your pick of a die is ideal for the image. Background papers are perfect also. Have yourself a great day and please forgive my absence.

This is precious even though I don't like nutcrackers. My DIL collects them only because her mother gave them to her. They are a little scary to me....like clowns. Anyhoo, your daughter will love this.
