CASEd Mistletoe Card

This card is for the first of the random themes Beccy has on the 30 Days of Holidays this month.  Instead of a letter of the alphabet, she wants you to CASE one of your own cards.  I've cased lots of cards by other people but I don't know if I've ever CASEd one of my own.

Here's the one I did as the CASE card for this year, with the image reversed, and adjusted to a slim line card.  The greens are pastel and I stayed with beige for both the bow in the image and the one the card.  I had to use different dp because I didn't have any more of what I used last year but I also wanted to stay with my pastel Christmas colors.  The dp on this card is from Graphic 45.

The image corners are done with a Fiskars punch.  I used burlap twine and a scrap of fabric to make the bow.  I took some of the negative pieces from the corner punch to make the 3 dots in each of the diagonal corners.

Using punched out circles/dots is one of my favorite things to do.  It means I'm making embellishments without any cost, I'm not tossing out scraps, and I can make the dots look like gems if I put a little glitter on them or 'color' them with shiny gel ink.  This time I left them white because that had the most contrast against the black card front.

And here's the card I did last year using the same Mistletoe image from Beccy's Place.  "Mistletoe Kisses"

This was a fun challenge and I truly enjoyed CASEing myself.  Happy Crafting.  NanaConnie

You did a fabulous job CASEing yourself NanaConnie, the new version is as wonderful as the original. Great choice of patterned paper, the holly is very festive and works well with the image. I like your tip about using the punched out pieces as embellishments, it's a great way to reduce waste, and you know the embellishments will always coordinate.
Cheers,
Beccy
