Bluebird Airline

OK, this card has nothing to do with Christmas.  In fact, it's a perfect statement about summer days, vacation journeys, and travel to summer places.   A nice break from the rest of the week which is overwhelmingly Christmas.  :-D  The image is from A Day for Daisies.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.

I decided on a Spotlight Technique and then colored the image with ProMarkers.  All the papers are from DCWV and the background paper is sparkly and embossed but it just doesn't show in the photo.  The ribbon has a sparkle to it and the pearl embellies are wonderfully shiny.  The butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die cut.

  5. Great use of the spotlighting technique on your card. I'm sure it is a nice change of pace from the Christmas cards, but those were all gorgeous too. I especially like the elf.
