Cinnamon and Berries

Can you believe it's the 1st of December?  Yikes, only 3 weeks and 3 days until Christmas and I have no idea where 2014 went!  But the good news is there's a new release at Doodle Pantry today.  We also have a challenge starting at noon Eastern Time today.

With Christmas so close, our minds tend to be thinking of all things Christmas and the card I did today is a reflection of some of those things.  For me, nothing says Christmas more than the smell of spices, most especially cinnamon.

I used a pre-colored image from the new "Cinnamon & Berries" set, but the set also has outline images you can color yourself, plus wonderful sentiments and even beautiful digital papers!  Regardless of all the wonderful modern images and styles available for cards, I'm still a lover of the traditional when it comes to Christmas.  Traditional just brings back such wonderful  memories.  :-D

The image is die cut and embossed with a die from Spellbinders.  The "Cinnamon" and the "Holly & Berries" sentiments are from this same Doodle Pantry set and the "Signs of Christmas" is computer generated.  The embossed CS is from Bazzill and the sparkly green ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The white bow is made with seam binding  from my stash.

I punched the corners with a hand punch and felt it was finished since this is a card for a guy and I wanted it to look more masculine than one with lots of fancy embellishments.
