Fall is my favorite season -- the oppressive heat of summer is waning, there's a nip in the air, the colors of the changing leaves paint the neighborhoods, and there's the smell of wood-burning fireplaces again. We begin to think about harvest and Thanksgiving, and even Christmas is just around the corner. This image from Deedee's "Harvest Hellos" set brought all those things to mind.
I chose to use the sketch from Stella Says Sketch
and my colors came from DRS Designs.
I modified the sketch so that it would fit a Joy fold card, my first one. The instructions I had were for an A2 card, but I adapted those to make a square card. I like this particular style of card and will no doubt use it again.
I colored the image with ProMarkers, then cut it and punched the bottom corners. I inserted the sentiment (also from the set) into the slots made by the corner punch. Both dps came from scraps in my stash. The ribbons were in my stash of Halloween and Thanksgiving embellies and are most likely from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The large leaf is an embossed sticker and the buttons have been lying about, waiting to be used.
It's Monday and the start of a new week. Happy Stamping. NanaConnie
