Use It Tuesday Guest Designer

Two posts today so be sure to scroll down to the earlier post or click this link for the Tuesday Throwdown DT card.

More wonderful news!  I'm a guest designer for the Use It Tuesday challenge this week, where the theme is "All About Winter."   I've played in their challenges fairly often because it encourages me to dig things out of my stash which either I'm hoarding or have forgotten were there (mostly hoarding!)

You haven't heard me raving on about Operation Write Home for a while but that's because I was buried doing Christmas cards for family and friends.  By late October, I had met and exceeded my goal for making 365 cards (397 altogether!) for OWH in 2011 so had lots of time to focus on my own Christmas cards.  But now I'm back and will be making cards regularly for OWH every week.  Oh, you don't know about OWH?  Click on the button to the right and read about them and the fabulous work they do supporting our deployed service people.

OK, back to the card.....  Both images are from The Graphics Fairy and I downloaded them ages ago but have never used them before.  The silhouette is printed on pale blue parchment paper, and the image with the trees and reindeer is matted with that same parchment paper and then black CS.  Both the papers and the CS have been in my stash for a while.  Actually, everything on this card is from my stash.  Nothing new; just stuff I've been hoarding forever, including the sheer ribbon and buttons.  Even the pre-made card base was in my stash.

     Challenges for this card:
Bearly Mine -- Anything Goes
City Crafter Challenge -- Back to Black - use a silhouette
Creative Card Crew -- Snow Day
Create Me Pink -- Splash of color with b & w
Do You Stack Up? -- Let it snow
Just Inspirational - photo inspiration
Pixie Cottage - monochromatic
Stamps R Us -- Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday -- Anything Goes
Unstampables - Anything Goes (but no stamps)

I'm trying not to be too long winded today since I have two posts, but thanks for stopping by.  Check out both of the challenges today and Happy Stamping.  NanaConnie

Beautiful card; very serene looking. You still have a little time to enter this in the Dude TIme Doodles challenge this week, as it could easily be a masculine card.
