I have some exciting news. At least, it's exciting for me and I hope you'll think so, too! I've been invited to join the design team at Lexi's Creations, an every-other-Monday challenge. The theme for this challenge (my first as a DT member) is Anything Goes. I've used one of Lexi's digital images, "Claudia", which can be found here at the Fairy Dust Crafts store. New Year, New DT, New-to-me images all combined to result in this fun, monochromatic, new-January card.
Isn't Claudia just begging to go shopping at the January sales? Or maybe she's already been. Either way, she's dressed to the nines and a perfect January Child. What a great birthday card this would be! OK, I'm convinced and I'll send it to my aunt who is a January child and turns 95 this month. The image is colored with new Copic marker colors (left in my stocking by Santa!), and I used new dp and CS. It just felt right to use new things for this card. However, the flowers I combined at the bottom were all in my stash but I put them together to make a new flower. I used Creative Inspirations paint to make them all shimmery and shiny. Adding the two punched snowflakes (oh, new punch, too!) was perfect to enhance the wintry feel. I also used a corner punch to round the corners of the matted image.
Of course, I have to enter this into as many challenges as possible in keeping with Pile It On Challenges and their idea of doing one card for as many challenges as possible. I'm not entering this one in their challenge because it doesn't fit their theme this week, but I'll enter one later that does fit. I've said before that I like to select the challenges before I make my card so that I can make sure each card matches the theme of each challenge I picked. Sometimes I have to discard some of the challenges I've chosen because a card takes a different path but I try to include all the ones I've chosen.

Happy Stamping. NanaConnie

CONGRATS girl!!!!!!! Well deserved.
Love this image and it's a beautiful card. Such wonderful papers and accents.
Thanks for playing in the Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week.
She looks all snug and cute, doesn't she? I remember having a white rabbit muff for my hands as a child. We lived in California then. I think my parents bought that for us so we could move our hands around and still appear lady like LOL - "the good ole days" LOL My hands always got sweaty. Thanks for the memories! Your red head January's Child looks sweet as can be!
Great card! I also have new copics I´m learning how to color with them =) Greetings from Spain,

Nani, Grammy, Connie....95!!!! Wow, she is going to feel like a sexy young thing when she gets this card! It is beautiful. I love that concept of a "month" child. Your putting the monochromatic on top of each other is so effective! I love how they are still so distinct. And the image is racy but still so sophisticated and classy! Great card Connie. Love to you for the New Year, Samara
