Good afternoon, or maybe evening to some of you. :-) I got my chores done early so I could play today and I have completed two cards but one has to wait until another post. This one uses a sketch from The Sweet Stop and an image from Sweet 'n' Sassy, where the challenge has a theme of "Friendship."

I played with the sketch a bit because I really wanted to use my new Spellbinders Wonky Squares dies.
The sentiment is from Deedee's Digis (now closed - sniff) but it was exactly what I wanted on this card. In fact, I like it so much I made it the center piece of the card. The image of the bunny and mouse exchanging a flower of friendship was perfect with the sentiment. One Stop Craft Challenge wants us to do cards where the sentiment is the focus so this is perfect for that. In addition to that, Sentimental Sunday wants to see flowers.
I printed both the digi image and the sentiment on white paper and, with the exception of the flower the bunny is holding, left it uncolored. I wanted the pinks of the CS and the gentle pinks and blues of the dp to make the image stand out. I also wanted the image to complement the black and white of the sentiment.
The pink, polka-dot ribbon (Really Reasonable Ribbon) and the pink ribbon flower (from my stash) are the only embellishment and I think they are sufficient. I think this is one of those less-is-more cards.
I have to fess up that one of the chores remains to be done -- I didn't get the bed made. But I have a good reason, not just an excuse. When I got the last load of laundry finished (which included the mattress cover), I tossed the clean linens on the bed and went to put away all the folded clothes. When I came back to make the bed, here's what I found.
Personally, I think this is the photo of Honey which should go up at the top of the blog, next to the one of high and mighty duchess, Cleo, who continues to rule the roost. What do you think? I'm taking a poll here before I actually add a photo of Honey to the blog. Cleo keeps telling me that Honey doesn't need to have her photo posted at all ! Much as she pretends not to like Honey, I find her playing with Honey when she doesn't know I'm around, and even being a quite-willing recipient of Honey's "pouncings"! LOL Honey has much to learn and I think Cleo has the makings of a good teacher.
The weekend draws to a close and I hope you found time for some fun and creativity. Happy Stamping. NanaConnie
