Today's card is inspired by Operation Write Home and their challenge with a theme of K-9 and I also used the sketch from their Sunday challenge. Do you get the feeling this card will be going into the box for OWH, too? You can read more about them by clicking on the link above or on their badge on the right hand side of my blog. They send donated, handmade cards to our deployed troops so the troops can use them to write home.
The image is Kolar and his friend, Juniper (the bunny) by K 'n K. Katlyn has done some Kolar images just for OWH, although this is one (with the sentiment) I bought from her shop. I colored the image with Copics and, although I don't generally color Kolar in auburn, the ABC Challenge has "A is for Auburn" as their theme this week. I think he looks kind of cute as a "redhead", but he's clearly not an Irish Setter!
Juniper is bringing Kolar a slightly wilted flower but friendship is what matters most here. "Friendship" is the theme of the Fab n Funky challenge this week so this image is perfect.
All the papers are from my hoarded stash and everything is matted with black CS. The black and white gingham bow has been in my stash forever -- like I love it too much to use it. :-) I kept it pretty CAS because it will be going to OWH and I like those cards to fit easily into an A2 envelope.
