Good morning. Today I have a fun card to share with you. It's a birthday card for someone who has always made his own pathway through the world and delighted in being his own person. This image (and the sentiment) from Doodle Pantry are perfect for his birthday card!
I used a sketch from Card Patterns. 
He has had a series of parakeets as pets over his lifetime, and green is his favorite color. Doing his card all in greens lets me submit this card to both Paper Sundaes for their challenge to use any two of the following 'sundae toppings' -- green, buttons, banners, or twine -- and to Fab 'n' Funky for their "mono madness" challenge.
I know it isn't usual to have lace on a masculine card, but it seemed to fit this one as a background texture (since I had no patterned dp on it), and I'll submit this to Crafts and Me for their "Lace" challenge. The card probably didn't need the green flower but Sharon, his wife, will appreciate that one! lol She's also an avid cardmaker and she has fallen in love with the paper roses so popular these days. Finally, I'm entering at Crafts Us Crazy for another week of "Anything Goes in August".
I have to get started on several birthday cards for family and friends. From September through November, there are lots of family birthdays and then Christmas is upon us! I'm behind on making family birthday cards this year so I have to get cracking.
