Not the kind of cookies that sneak into your computer! The kind your Grandma used to bake for you when you were a kid.
Doodle Dragon has a challenge this week with a theme of "Girl Power" and I used a Doodle Dragon image, plus a sketch from Cardabilities.

This Nana knows that "girl power" comes from baking cookies for the kids! Nanas become very powerful when the smell of fresh baked cookies fills the kitchen. We border on being Super Women. lol
I used the pre-colored version of this image and that made the card go together really quickly. The card base is black but the interior is white. I didn't even need to mat the image or the sentiment (printed from my computer.) I added the punched border and the pearl flourish and the card was done. Do You Stack Up wants to see cards that are "black with a pop of color." I know this has more than just a "pop" in the image, but it was a pre-colored version. Still, the turquoise border piece made the turquoise in the image pop out and that became the dominant color so I'm calling that my "pop."
Dutch Dare has asked us to do 'Cards for Kids' this week and Craft Us Crazy has an 'Anything Goes' challenge.
Now, one more thing before I finish this morning. I'm taking today's card and a plate of cookies over to Juli, my dear, 10-year-old crafting buddy who helped me with cards last weekend. You may remember seeing the one below.
I'm celebrating because a.) that was Juli's first time doing a card for a challenge and she really participated in making that card and b.) that card took Top 3 honors at Unscripted Sketches! You can read all the details of that card and Juli's part in the creation of it by clicking here. Congratulations, Juli!! I'm so proud.
I may have yet another post today depending on how the mojo is flowing and right now, it seems like a spring runoff! Thanks for your visit. Enjoy a browse and I'll be back later. Stamping hugz. NanaConnie
