Love You Heaps - Another OWH card

    I'm still doing cards with themes of "Love", "Missing You", "Thinking of You", and "Birthday" for Operation Write Home.  Have to get that box full enough to mail before the end of the month.  I'm working on OWH's challenge for June re their Second Million cards.  Click on the Second Million badge to the right and read about it.  You might want to get involved yourself.  There's still time.

     The sketch is from The Sweet Stop, the image from Karen's Doodles along with some "brads" for their challenge, and colors from CR84FN.



     I also followed the Tic Tac Toe challenge from Incy Wincy Designs and here's the chart for it.



     You have to pick one row -- horizontal, vertical, or diagonal and use all three of the items in the row on your project.  I chose the top row, Brads, Flowers,  & Lace.  Here's my card.

     I'll bet I've done a dozen cards using this image -- it must be one of my favorites!  I know I've used it for Easter and for a birthday card, maybe even Mother's Day, but I don't know if I've done it for Operation Write Home.  If I did, it doesn't matter.  Even if the image is the same, the sentiment and the card design will be different.

     I printed the image and colored it with Copics, then fussy cut it and adhered it to a Spellbinders flower die cut from black CS.  I used black because I wanted the image to pop.  I layered that onto a larger flower die cut as a mat.

     I chose the dp from a Prima pad, wrapped it with lace (from my stash) and with ribbon (from Really Reasonable Ribbon), added the brads, and layered that onto the card base.  I attached the image piece, then the sentiment (from my computer) which was matted with a tiny scrap of the dp.  The flowers were the final embellishments, and those are from my stash.  The cream flower I made by layering together satin and tulle flower petals, then adding a pink pearl to the center.  The flowers are attached with tiny drops of craft glue so they won't come off.

     That's it for now.  I've been missing out on sleep and somehow I need to get caught up. Things will slow down at work and, by Friday, I should be back to normal  (whatever 'normal' is!)   In the meantime, thanks for visiting and Happy Stamping.  NanaConnie
