I know Father's Day is still a good two months away, but over at Operation Write Home they have asked us for Father's Day cards and there is a deadline for getting them shipped from our end. We have to have them in the hands of the folks who actually ship them overseas by no later than May 21. So, I'm getting started on a batch to send off.
This was such an easy card to put together. I used a sketch from Midnight Madness (the CAS version):
The dalmations are not stamped or digi images, rather they are fabric appliques from the local fabric store. The background dp is from DCWV, and all the CS, including the card base is from Gina K. The brown strip of CS was punched with a border punch. The baker's twine is from Mark's Finest Papers, and the Wee Memories' challenge this week is to use twine of some kind.
This card went together in about 25 minutes, and because it did, I'm going to look through my stash of appliques and see what else I have that would work for a Father's Day card. I'd like to have at least a dozen I can mail off to OWH by the deadline.
Thanks for coming by to visit. Feel free to look around while you're here and I'll pour the coffee if you'd like to just sit a spell. Have a fabulous weekend and Happy Stamping. NanaConnie
